Simple Snack #2 – Salt & Pepper Pistachios
I love Trader Joes because they are constantly putting new, creative items on the shelf. One of my favorite new snack items is their Salt & Pepper Pistachios. Pistachios, as you might know, are a good source of vitamins, minerals, fiber, and good fat.
These pistachios are crunchy, nutty, salty, and spicy! A great snack for anytime and anywhere.
These pistachios are 170 calories for 1/2 cup, 6g of protein, and full of good fat. As we know, even good fats should be eaten in moderation. One thing that helps me control portion size for my snacks are these great Portion Pack ziploc bags from Target. They hold 1 cup and are marked clearly at every 1/4 cup measurement. I use them pretty much every day!
