After Thanksgiving I can’t even think about food right now. Sooooo let’s just take this moment to reflect on the epic-ness that was Thanksgiving this year.
Check out this amazing, Kickstarter-funded mini-documentary made by NPR’s Planet Money Team called Planet Money Makes A T-Shirt. It follows one regular everyday t-shirt through it’s creation, production, circulation, and how it gets to you. The documentary touches on everything from genetically modified cotton to modern day farming technology to the lives of the people who make our clothes to the impact a t-shirt has on the global economy. Each chapter is but a few minutes long and wonderfully done. Defintiely worth a watch.
I’m obsessed with Joseph Gordon Levitt and Lady Gaga’s rendition of Baby It’s Cold Outside. He’s such a charmer and she plays the part perfectly!
