One of my biggest obsessions in life is Hayley Williams and her band, Paramore. Well imagine my delight to hear that Hayley and MAC Cosmetics paired up for a feisty, bright, rocker-inspired collection! I don’t think any of these colors will work on my pasty Irish skin (they are Hayley’s signature orange tones) but I still love it. In stores April 9th! And Paramore’s (much anticipated by me) new record will also be out on April 9!

I found this article published by the NY Times late last week called The Gender Gap in Pain particularly interesting. I’ve been battling some pain for the last two weeks and just went to the doctor today (I was diagnosed with SI joint issues). I think I waited because I thought I could manage my own pain but realized I couldn’t. It’s so frustrating and even worse to think that pain treatment for women could be biased and overlooked.

Rebecca Rolfe created an amazing website called Thank The Academy that visualizes who Oscar winners thanked, how they behaved, how long they spoke for, who used notes, who was interrupted with curtain music, and even houses an entire archive of speeches from 1953 to 2009. So cool!
