In early June John and I bought iPads! He wanted one for easier mobile computing and playing games and I wanted one for photo editing and blogging.
I love it so much already! I even sewed a little coverlette for it out of my new favorite fabric.
Another one of my favorite things so far about my iPad is the HBO Go app. You can link it to the HBO account you have with your cable provider and watch every single HBO show, documentary, and special (not to mention featured movies) with it. I’ve been rewatching Girls, obviously.
Another way I’ve been using my iPad to help with recipes/blogging is by transferring all of the old food splattered pieces of paper with recipes on them into my Bamboo Notebook. Bamboo Paper is an app you use with the Wacom Bamboo stylus to doodle, draw, sketch, write, etc. By jotting my recipes down on my iPad, I have them for quick reference when I go to type up a recipe blog.
Most importantly I’ve been using my iPad for photo editing. I am loving Snapseed and iPhoto for this. Check out the final result of the photo shown below in this blog here.
I’ve been using the excellent Photo Transfer App to transfer pictures taken on my SLR camera from my PC to my iPad. I then edit them on my iPad and transfer back to my PC for blogging.
The next step is to play around with posting blogs directly from my iPad. The WordPress app is okay but very inferior to the Windows Live Writer program I use on my PC for blogging. I’ll figure it out in time.
Do you have an iPad? What are your favorite apps?
I don’t have an iPad but I do have a Kindle Fire. I know it is not near advanced as an iPad but for the time being, I love it. And I hate to admit it, but my favorite thing is playing Angry Birds.
Nice!
All in yoga is one of my favorites, I have even blogged about it. I also love kobo. I have iMovie which is great except it takes ages to upload to YouTube. There is this awesome photographer called Dewitt Jones who works for national geographic and his motto is ‘celebrate what’s right with the world’ I follow him on Facebook and he updates awesome pics his been taking on his iPhone and tells you what apps he’s used so you might find his page interesting. The apps can be used on your ipad, i have two of his suggestions – ‘oldphoto pro’ and ‘slowshutter’ both have free trials. He is or was in France and took some awesome pics in Monets garden.
Thank you so much for the tips!!
