Use It Tuesday: Brewery Tour Sample Glasses

Have you ever been on a brewery tour? We have! 25 times in fact, all over the country.

Any good brewery will give you samples and usually a souvenir glass to go with them. Some breweries go all out and give pint glasses to their tour-goers but that’s rare. The most common take away from a brewery tour is the 6 oz. glass. It looks like a juice glass actually but usually has the breweries’ logo on it. Case in point:

Well after 25 tours you can imagine we have a bunch of these laying around. They aren’t very practical to drink out of because they are so small. But I’ve found another way to use them that I love. My favorite way to repurpose them? Candle holders!

The small Yankee Candle votives work perfectly in this size glass.

But tea lights work great too!

  1. Interesting! The tours I’ve done have provided samples but not glasses. We do have several sampling glasses from beer festival events, though.

We use ours when we have folks over and we’re all trying several fancy beers. Yours look great with the candles!

  2. We’ve also had beer sampling parties and used our sampler glasses for the same thing!

I love the candle idea though. We have soooo many of those.
