John and I spent the morning watching Man vs. Food in lieu of the craptastic Macy’s Parade (did anyone else think this year’s was particularly awful? The commentating was so bad I had to turn it off), lounging, and just relaxing.
At 1:30PM we walked down to the Sheraton Commander Hotel in Harvard Square for our 2PM dinner seating at their Thanksgiving buffet.
Plate #1. All of the food was so good.
Aww, he cleans up nice, no?
The chef carving the turkey insisted we take one of the legs after I made a joke about John eating one. We could only get through about a third of it.
Dessert was so good! Red velvet cupcakes and pecan pie! (I had like a bite of each, I was so full by then.)
Afterwards we went home, watched some 30 Rock, then headed over to Kevin and Shawn’s with peanut butter cheesecake in hand. I didn’t take any pictures there but it was such a nice time.
I am thankful for so many things this year: family, friends, my soon-t0-be husband, my job, my blog, my interests, and everything in between. Hope you all had a fabulous Thanksgiving too!
