After we returned home from our most recent trip to Las Vegas, and I processed our pictures from the Neon Museum, I really wanted to print some out to hang around the house. I had ordered some 4×4 Instagram pictures via PostalPix before but I didn’t want that size again, I wanted actual 4×6 photographs. I did some web research and settled on ordering from Shutterfly. Four days later my order arrived:
The quality was excellent. I ordered five 4×6 matte color prints and the pictures came out flawlessly. The colors were vibrant and the picture itself was clear and crisp. The photo paper was extremely high quality which is very important to me (not that flimsy stuff). Each print’s name and order date is printed on the back too which is very handy.
The best part was the price – five 4×6 prints were $0.15/each, totaling $1.82 for my entire order (most of that was shipping). You can opt for the photos to be mailed to you or picked up in store at a participating Target, CVS, or Walgreens.
I bought a few frames at Target and framed the ones I really likes to hang around the house.
The happy shirt/letter B was hung on our gallery wall, which I am still completely in love with.
The Hi photo went in the bathroom; it’s so cute in there and I love seeing it while getting ready in the morning.
And while I’m on a roll, here’s another art update in our house (a state of the art, if you will):
I’ve started a second gallery wall in our kitchen. So far we only have two pieces – an amazing typography flier from the Plymouth Artisan Cheese Factory in Vermont and a triptych to showcase our visit to the Thomas Keller Trifecta in 2013 (to The French Laundry in May, Per Se in August, and Bouchon in December). The triptych is kind of hard to see but I ordered these three 4×4 prints from PostalPix: 1, 2, and 3.
I can’t wait to add to my new gallery wall and will keep you updated when I do!
(Product reviews are never sponsored; they are just my musings on products I’ve tried and want to share with you.)
