Juice Recipe: Green Lemonade

This is where the juice adventure gets funky, y’all. I had seen a few recipes for a lettuce-based “lemonade” floating around online and I had to try my own out of curiosity. I actually liked the results, John did not. I am not sure how quick I would be to make this again but it was definitely worth a try.

Domestocrat’s Green Lemonade (yields one 12 oz. serving)
1 head of romaine lettuce
1 apple
1 lemon
1 lime

Prep everything for the juicer: cut up the romaine and apple, trim the rind of the lemon and lime.

Load everything in your juicer according to the manufacturer’s directions and you’ll have this super earthy citrusy juice. I topped mine off with cold filtered water. It definitely tastes like lettuce but the lemon and lime add a smoothness to it. Give it a try!
