9th Annual Birthday Apple Picking Trip

Every year I organize an apple picking outing around my birthday. It’s the perfect fall activity and really gets me in the Fall mood. This year, the 9th annual trip, we went to Cider Hill Farm in Amesbury, MA for the third year in a row.

The weather was perfect.

I can’t imagine doing anything else in the Fall in New England than apple picking.

There weren’t many apples left to pick this year, which was kind of a bummer. I’ll have to plan the trip earlier next year.

Still, the scenery and company were excellent.

Of course, we visited the chickens before we left.

For lunch we went to the Flatbread Company in downtown Amesbury. It was awesome and so delicious, as usual.

All in all, a fantastic 30th birthday. I look forward to going apple picking for my birthday all year. It’s something I’ve been doing for so long and have such wonderful memories associated with it. I couldn’t imagine Fall, or my birthday, without it!

  1. Happy birthday! Lovely photos, even if the haul was a bit disappointing. The Flatbread Company looks amazing. You are slowly convincing me to visit Boston…

  2. I lived in Amesbury for a few years. I loved downtown. My husband is from Newburyport which also has a great downtown that you can eat and drink your way through. It felt like apple season wrapped up a bit early this year. We always go with my nephews and it was hard to fill the bag.
