I was never wild about the one tone blue background Domestocrat had since the beginning. I’ve had changing the background of the blog on my mental to-do list for months. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to stick with a color or try to design something myself so I opted for more waiting. That always works, right?
Last week I found myself deep into the rabbit hole of blogs linking to blogs linking to blogs and, don’t even ask me how now, I stumbled on the site Subtle Patterns. Subtle Patterns offers free, tilable, textured patterns for websites and blogs. Their designs are exactly what I was looking for – refined, sweet, pretty. I narrowed it down to three options:
#1 – Arabesque
#2 – Gold Scale
#3 – Washi
I ended up selecting #3! I know in the age of Google Reader the background of a blog may be irrelevant but I think it’s important for new readers. I also think it’s majorly important in terms of making my photography pop.
So what do you think? How did you pick the background for your blog?
Your background should be kettlecorn.
Haha, maybe the next one!
I love the washi!!!
Thanks Jenny!
