Here’s our third batch of home projects!
Project #1 – IKEA Furniture Construction
Why are stores like IKEA and Target so easy to drop like $300 at? During our last trip to IKEA we bought a bunch of furniture that needed assembling:
Most notable was the 3 drawer chest we found for our sideboard. I was hesitant of the color at first but the room really needed a pop of color. Everything is brown!
Seeing it all put together, in the space, really convinced me though. It is the perfect addition of color to the room. The orange/red really works. I want to eventually switch the hardware to something a little prettier but that will come with time.
It has three drawers that are pre-lined with the cutest yellow striped interior. We also bought these great drawer dividers for smaller items.
Project #2 – Weather Proofing Our Outdoor Table
Since we have a brand new dining room table we brought our old set out to the back porch. We wanted to weatherproof it though so we gave it a few liberal coats of Minwax Urethane. Now we can leave it back there and not worry about it molding, getting soaked, or getting ruined.
Project #3 – Seating For The Front Porch
We bought these chairs on Overstock.com for a bargain and this table from IKEA. Our front porch is now comfortable and looks really nice from the street. I love it!
And, as always, Reggie is only concerned with where the sunny spots in the house are. Ah, well.
That is one flattering picture of the husband there.
You guys are really going to town! Everything is looking GREAT!
Thanks Ann!
Wow! I love that chest of drawers!
Thank you. It’s so pretty in person too!
