I love when one small object inspires the look of a whole room. That was the case when I saw these lovely bubbled glass knobs at Anthropologie last week:
I knew immediately that I wanted to replace the hardware on the bathroom vanity/sink cabinet. The color of the bathroom is overwhelmingly white save for the walls and tile floor which is a really rich beige. The knobs are another variation on a brown theme and really match nicely.
While replacing the knob I noticed a slight ding in the cabinet door which was beyond distracting to me. I busted out my spackle and filled the small hole. A quick plug for this DryDex stuff: it goes on pink and dries white (genius), it’s durable, and smooth.
Knobs and filled hole: check! Sink vanity done!
Next up, storage cabinet. After much shopping we ended up with this one from Target. Up front, this thing is not our favorite. But we’re going to tolerate it for a little while until we can find a better solution.
You know it’s quality when it comes pre-busted up in the mail.
Assembly wasn’t too bad, just a little time consuming.
Finally we had it put together, up, in the bathroom, and stocked! Note the matching knobs (inspiring this whole bathroom makeover).
Oh, and while we were at it, we swapped out the old toilet seat for a brand new, anti-microbial that one we picked out.
That’s it for now in the bathroom. We have one more big project to do in there but that’s a post for another day!
That toilet seat is the stuff of dreams.
I wasn’t even going to include it but I know it’s your favorite thing…
Does it do that soft-closing thing if you try to slam it? Those are amazing.
Those don’t but all the cabinets in our kitchen do!
I like the bathroom! It’s amazing how a little thing like knobs will change the entire room!
Right?!
