A few Saturdays back John and I had planned to head downtown for the day. We rarely go to Boston to just walk around and sightsee like tourists which is silly because it’s a beautiful city and we always fall in love with it all over again.
Just so happened our Boston Day fell on the same day as the Bruins Parade, which took up the better part of our morning.
After the parade we headed to South Boston for a nice walk, some sunshine, and in search of lunch.
We ended up at Sam’s in South Boston for lunch.
Cheese plate for us, mushroom tofu burger for me.
We walked back to the train along the water, which was so gorgeous.
We made another little pit stop at James Hook Co. so John could get a lobster roll. I swear, the temperature goes over 70 degrees and the man cannot get enough lobster. Expensive tastes, he has.
For the rest of the afternoon we wandered around Copley, went shopping at the Prudential Mall, and then walked down Newbury Street. It was a great day. I love being a tourist in my own city sometimes!
That sounds like a lovely day. My husband and I also love having city days. We call them “Urban Adventures.”
Nice!!
It looked like a fun filled day. The pictures are great! Your hubby likes lobster rolls like mine likes corn! Fun post….thanks!
