Last week I got an email from my friend Deirdre asking if I could take some photos of her daughter Madelyn for their annual holiday card. Of course! Not only is Madelyn totally precious but Deirdre and her husband also try to incorporate their lovable Boston Terrier, Hugo, into the cards every year and I was excited to shoot them together.
The whole thing went amazing; Madelyn was the perfect subject. Hugo, on the other hand, wasn’t as happy to be asked to sit still for a photoshoot but I think I got some great options for their cards. I shot half with my EF 50mm f1.8 lens and half with my EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6. My “nifty 50” lens is quickly becoming my favorite lens. Stay tuned for an upcoming recipe blog shot entirely with it!
