John and I took our first cross country road trip June 16-26, 2010. We drove from Somerville, MA to Las Vegas, NV (roughly 3,200 miles) through some of the most gorgeous places in our country. We saw the unimaginable on this trip and had the time of our lives.
The itinerary, in brief:
June 16, 2010 – Leave MA after work, drive to central NY
June 17, 2010 – In NY: Baseball Hall of Fame, Ommegang Brewery, Drive to Ohio
June 18, 2010 – In OH: Hywet Hall & Gardens, Football Hall of Fame, Drive to Missouri
June 19, 2010 – In MO: St. Louis Arch, City Museum, Anheuser Busch Factory Tour, Drive to Kansas City
June 20, 2010 – In KS: Hutchinson Salt Museum, Dodge City, Drive to Colorado
June 21, 2010 – In CO: Sand Dunes, Durango, Longest Driving Day in CO
June 22, 2010 – Still in CO: Ska Brewery, Four Corners Monument, Drive to Arizona
June 23, 2010 – In AZ: Grand Canyon
June 24, 2010 – Drive to NV, Hoover Dam, VEGAS!
June 25, 2010 – Spend a restful day in Vegas
June 26, 2010 – Fly home from Vegas
