Take Care of Me: September Update

IMG_9377-2My only resolution for 2013 has been to Take Care Of Me. To me, Take Care Of Me is a life philosophy: when I’m happy, I’m my best self. It’s that simple. January was great, I hit some road blocks in February, had both an injury and progress in March, kept it status quo in April, had an adventurous May, kickstarted my routine in June, kept the momentum going in July, and remarked on the unremarkable in August. Let’s see how September went!

Honestly, September was a blur. I’m not just saying that. I truly cannot recall how the month went by so fast or what I did to fill all those days. September has always been like this for me though. Because I have always worked in higher ed, September is the start of a new year; things take off and don’t slow down again until June. That’s how it goes. So while I don’t have much to report, other than my own befuddlement at the extremely fast passage of time, I can say that life is good. I’m happy, content, feeling confident at work, doing the best I can at the gym, making time for crafting and baking, feeling very proud of the money we’ve been saving over the past few months, still reveling in the Breaking Bad finale, getting in to a lot of new music (Chvrches, Lorde, Icona Pop), enjoying this time of year (Fall is my favorite), and am looking forward to October (which brings my birthday and a trip to South Carolina to celebrate).
