Take Care of Me: May Update

IMG_8660My only resolution for 2013 has been to Take Care Of Me. To me, Take Care Of Me is a life philosophy: when I’m happy, I’m my best self. It’s that simple. January was great, I hit some road blocks in February, had both an injury and progress in March, and kept it status quo in April. Let’s see how May went!

The first few weeks of May were really good. I was totally on top of all the things in life you’re totally on top of right before you going a long vacation. Work was caught up on, blogs were written, I was going really hard at the gym, and I felt like I was in a great place financially. I was absolutely ready for vacation and made the weeks preceding it really count.

Having 10 days off was great and was exactly the point of taking care of me. But as I discussed in Filling The Well it wasn’t as restful as I had hoped. After being back from vacation, the last week of May was a mad dash to catch up. To catch up on work, on sleep, on blogging, on cleaning my house, on my routine, and on taking care of me.

So I’m looking forward to June but I’m allowing myself a little bit of extra time to get back into the groove. On to the summer!
