Getting Hitched: 4 Weeks Out Edition, or The Deluge

Depending on how long you’ve been planning your wedding (15 months now for us) and how organized you are, by the time you’re 4 weeks from The Big Day, you should pretty much have everything done. All the big stuff anyways.

And yet, we’re experiencing a deluge of things to do. Brand new things, things we never thought about, emails from friends and family pretty much everyday, following up with vendors left and right. It’s all good but it seems to never end. I thought for sure we were done, that we could just coast these last few weeks. Nope. I feel like a Scrooge sometimes for looking forward to life after The Wedding but I think that’s normal.

This week has provided some good opportunities to take a break from thinking about wedding stuff though – some good friends got engaged, the Marathon was this week, it’s a holiday weekend, work was pretty quiet for me, I’ve been gymming and pilates-ing like crazy.

In a nutshell, we’re doing good though. I’m feeling super calm, we have 91 RSVPs of folks coming to the wedding so far, and today is my bachelorette party day! As they say, Keep Calm and Carry On.
