You may have noticed a bit of silence over here. I’ve been debating calling myself out on it or just letting it be. I don’t have much to say about it so letting it be seems like the best option. I will say that, honestly, I’ve needed a break. I’m focusing all of my energy right now on my health, work, and John. Minor things have been deprioritized (my bathroom desperately needs to be scrubbed, for one) but it’s all about balance. I’m feeling really positive about life at the moment and sometimes that has to come first.

I can say that over the last few weeks simplifying has played a major role. John got this little bonsai tree on his last day of work last week (he starts a new job this Thursday). Every time I look at it I think of new beginnings and a simpler life ahead.
