My friend Nicole got me these fabulous chalkboard stick on panels for my birthday. I knew I wanted to use them in our pantry but needed to clean out the pantry first. Two months later I finally got my act together, yikes. But I did it and finally crafted the chalkboard panels into a functional and helpful kitchen project!
I wasn’t able to stick the panel directly on our pantry door because it’s vented so I thought I’d adhere it to some cardboard first. John’s swiss army knife helped me make short work of slicing up the cardboard.
My two panels and their cardboard backing:
I peeled the back off, smoothed the panel over the cardboard, and trimmed the edges.
I added a magnet clip to the top to stick it to the vented metal door of our pantry.
Finished product!
(there is no before picture because it was seriously embarrassing how gross it was in here)
On to the cabinet!
I used the second panel I made in our canned/dry food cabinet. It was similarly cluttered in there but I cleaned out everything that had expired and reorganized everything.
Before and after (doesn’t look too different but trust me, it is:
Panel taped to the inside of the cabinet (in case I ever want to move it):
